Turkish people is not familiar to the rules of the EU, but the majority really want it due to its possible improvements on the economy and democracy.

The EU rules are hard and if you not follow them you will failed.

The Hellenes here is almost sure that Turkey will not entry in the EU.
The causes are a lot of such as Cyprus, Human Rights, economy status of the Turkey.
As Hellenic people we support the entrance of the Turkey if Cyprus issue will solved in a time before the starting of the Entrance Negotiates between Turkey and EU.
What about Turkish people are support the entrance?
Here we have the opinion that Turkish head is dividing. The politician authorities are affirmative but the military is totally against this. Is that right?

In fact a great majority supports Turkey to enter into Eu, but the problem is that, the Eu is a target for which we should make concessions to enter. Therefore, the military is not so reluctant to make concessions, like Cyprus.

But they still state that we should join the EU.

Only, anti-globalist people, communist and some other people like that object to the Eu idea.

I can describing as a «paradox» and «regrettable» Turkey's decision to sign a protocol late Friday extending its customs union to include Cyprus but also issuing a statement saying that it did not recognize the EU member state.
